Antonina Shevchenko, a Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai fighter from Peru as well as an artist in mixed martial arts who is a part of her country in UFC for the Flyweight Division is in the midst of fighting. In 2018, she left the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina's striking skills were superior and permitted her to TKO Nievera via knees in the lower body. The result was that Antonina was given the chance to sign a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hitters' Finale, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko fell to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision after she won her debut fight. Antonina bounced back from losing to beat Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission in the second round UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the bonus fight of the evening in this bout. Shevchenko was defeated by Katlyn Cookagian and then defeated Ariane Lipski's three bouts. Antonina last week lost via TKO, in the 2nd round to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
